Pepper Money makes statement addition with new BDM

Pepper Money has made a major addition to its Kiwi offering by appointing a new BDM to its New Zealand team.

Michael Sweeney will join the team from NIB, where he was a specialist adviser partner manager, having also previously spent several years as an advisor on the Hibiscus Coast.

Prior to coming to New Zealand, Sweeney was a police officer in the United Kingdom for over a decade, before becoming involved in financial services on his arrival.

His new role at Pepper Money will involve working on the residential mortgage side of the business and interacting directly with the adviser community.

“Michael joins our growing network of BDMs across the country with a focus on driving our residential mortgage lending business,” said Pepper Money’s national sales manager for New Zealand, Michelle Sargeant.

“He brings a wealth of experience and understanding of the finance industry, on the ground experience, and passion for delivering quality service experiences.

“This new role demonstrates our commitment to continue investing in delivering a best in class and consistent BDM network, and strengthening our relationships with our existing business partners.

“Our responsive BDMs are a top reason we earn trust and advocacy with advisers. While building strong relationships with our distribution partners has always been part of our mission, it was hugely important in a lending environment disrupted by COVID-19.

“Our team continue to go above and beyond to make sure our financial advisers and customers feel supported – in all aspects of their real life.

“In the current environment, borrowers need real solutions – fast. That’s why we are increasing the number of BDMs and credit assessors and working harder than ever to maintain our industry-leading turnaround time so financial advisers can focus on what matters most – helping Kiwi families succeed.”
