Group finalises acquisition of Mike Pero Real Estate
Raine & Horne has completed the acquisition of Mike Pero Real Estate from Liberty Financial Group, marking a significant expansion of its operations in New Zealand.
A milestone acquisition
The acquisition, finalised on March 28, enhances Raine & Horne’s presence in New Zealand.
Since announcing its entry into New Zealand in April 2023, Raine & Horne has rapidly grown its presence, adding 70 offices across the country. This move, along with the relaunch of operations in Fiji, highlighted the brand’s ambition to capitalise on property market revivals post-COVID-19.
Mike Pero joins Raine & Horne
Angus Raine (pictured above), executive chairman of Raine & Horne, welcomed the Mike Pero Real Estate group into the Raine & Horne family. The acquisition brings 56 Mike Pero offices under the Raine & Horne umbrella, significantly boosting the network's footprint in New Zealand.
“This acquisition not only expands our network’s footprint across both North and South Islands but also reinforces our commitment to providing exceptional service and expertise to vendors, buyers, investors, and tenants,” Raine said.
He said the acquisition of Mike Pero Real Estate is a clear indication of Raine & Horne's commitment to growth and innovation, effectively positioning the company as a significant player in the Australasian real estate market.
“With our track record as an industry leader in proptech, marketing, training, and agency systems, we take pride in offering reliable and market-leading support to our offices,” Raine said. “Additionally, our unique and cutting-edge technology ecosystem, featuring groundbreaking AI and social media marketing tool Amplify, along with our online sales and property management appraisal platform, DigiKitPlus, is proving highly popular with real estate principals in New Zealand.”
Raine & Horne’s brand refresh
The integration of Mike Pero Real Estate into the Raine & Horne brand is now underway, coinciding with a brand refresh happening across the group’s Australasian network.
In February, Raine & Horne unveiled a comprehensive brand refresh, which according to Raine, revitalises the group's brand with a fresh, innovative approach and introduces a new, sophisticated feel.
“The rebrand is also a strategic move to attract top-tier talent to our offices in Australasia and reaffirm our commitment to continual evolution and progress,” he said.
