Industry reports 92% increase in volume of loans settled compared to previous year
NZ Adviser has revealed this year’s fast brokerages, boasting a 92% increase in the total volume of loans settled to $2.38 billion in the year to June 2022, up from $1.24 billion in the previous year.
Aside from achieving a massive volume of loans settled, NZ Adviser’s 16 fast brokerages individually achieved over 30% growth in combined revenue and settlement volume.
Methodology
On August 15, 2022, NZ Adviser invited submissions to recognise New Zealand’s fastest-growing mortgage brokerages. The research team then asked brokerages to list their revenues and settlement volumes for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 financial years in addition to other growth milestones.
Afterwards, the team evaluated the nominations to determine which brokerages performed outstandingly. Those that achieved over 30% growth in combined revenue and settlement volume received 5-star awards.
A total of 16 brokerages made it to this year’s list, with six named “fast starters,” those that have been operating for less than three years, but have already made their mark in the mortgage industry.
