TSB announces new CEO

TSB has announced the appointment of Kerry Boielle (pictured above) as its new chief executive, effective in January.

Boielle has 17 years of banking expertise, having served in senior roles at ASB Bank and Kiwibank. She is currently employed at Southern Cross Health Society, where she holds the positions of director for CareHQ, and chief sales, marketing, and customer experience officer.

“Having conducted an exhaustive search, Kerry shone through as someone with energy, innovation, and aspiration which will suit the organisation well as we transform into a more modern business in coming years,” said Mark Darrow, TSB board chair.

He said Boielle is coming on board at an exciting juncture for TSB, as it strategises for enhancing the bank, with a focus on digital customer experience and product offerings.

“We have a strong executive team and the board are really pleased that Kerry will now lead that team,” Darrow said. “She understands TSB’s ethos and we know that she will make a strong contribution in steering TSB towards the future.”

Darrow also thanked Gordon Davidson for stepping in as acting CEO over recent months.

“Both he [Davidson], the executive team, and all our people have kept things on track really well, while the Board undertook the recruitment process,” Darrow said.

Boielle said she was honoured to be chosen for the role.

“I am looking forward to leading the organisation in the next stages of their growth. I can’t wait to settle into the Taranaki community and get around the country to meet the whole team,” she said in a media release
