The event aims to assess the current state of the conveyancing industry
The Conveyancing Association (CA) has announced the first details of its 2025 annual conference and charity dinner, set to take place on January 30 at the Hilton Deansgate Hotel in Manchester.
The event, titled “Past, Present and Future – Where is the Conveyancing Industry Up to and What Can We Expect in the Future?”, aims to assess the current state of the conveyancing sector and look ahead to its future.
“The 2025 CA Annual Conference is situated at something of a halfway point for the industry,” said Nicky Heathcote (pictured), non-executive chair of the Conveyancing Association. “In 2020, we identified 2030 as the year in which a full end-to-end digital conveyancing process could be realistically achieved. Halfway towards that point, it’s important we understand where we are, the progress that has been made, and what happens next.”
The conference will feature a morning session focused on the economic outlook for 2025 and its potential impact on the conveyancing industry. Other sessions will explore ways to improve profitability, productivity, and visibility for firms. In the afternoon, discussions will centre on how technologies, such as artificial intelligence, are already benefiting member firms and what to expect in the coming years.
CA advisor Eddie Goldsmith will chair the event, and behavioural economist Roger Martin-Fagg has been announced as the keynote speaker. Martin-Fagg will provide insights into economic trends and their implications for the property market and conveyancing firms.
The conference and dinner are open to all CA members, both legal and affiliate, and non-members may attend for a fee. Registration is now open on the CA’s website. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, including exhibition stands and packages for the post-conference drinks reception and charity dinner.
Sponsors attending the event will include Landmark Information Group – the event’s headline sponsor, PEXA, Conveyancing Data Services, WNS, and several others.
