Move highlights the growing role of technology in conveyancing
The Conveyancing Association (CA) has announced that Orbital Witness, a property due diligence automation platform, has joined as its latest affiliate member.
Founded in 2018, Orbital Witness uses artificial intelligence, in-house legal expertise, and insurance models to streamline property due diligence for lawyers and property professionals. Its conveyancing-focused platform, Orbital Residential, is designed to save firms time, improve profitability, and enhance client experiences while reducing transactional risk. CA said Orbital Residential is widely used by conveyancers across the UK.
By joining the CA, Orbital Witness aims to strengthen its relationship with conveyancers and contribute to discussions about how artificial intelligence is shaping the future of the industry.
The company will also have a presence at the CA’s 2025 annual conference and dinner, scheduled for January 30 at the Hilton Deansgate Hotel in Manchester. The event, titled “Past, present and future – where is the conveyancing industry up to and what can we expect in the future?” will explore the sector’s ongoing evolution.
“We’re thrilled to announce our membership of the Conveyancing Association, marking an exciting new chapter for our Orbital Residential product,” said Edmond Boulle (pictured left), co-founder and chief strategy officer at Orbital Witness.
“Over the past two years, we’ve worked closely with residential conveyancing professionals, gaining insights to help reduce the pressure on conveyancing lawyers across tens of thousands of transactions. Joining the association gives us a fantastic opportunity to connect, engage, and learn from its members as we look ahead to 2025.”
Nicky Heathcote (pictured right), non-executive chair of the Conveyancing Association, welcomed the new partnership.
“We are looking forward to working with the Orbital Witness team, introducing them to our member firms, and building a strong relationship,” Heathcote said. “Being an affiliate member of the CA shows a business’s commitment to the conveyancing profession and allows us to leverage their insights and resources to improve the home buying and selling process for conveyancers and consumers.”
