He will help form its future strategy
Mark Harrington has been appointed as chief operating officer at L&C Mortgages, where he is expected to play a key role in the company’s growth.
Harrington (pictured) has been with the business since he joined as an adviser in 2003. He has worked in a number of roles during his tenure, most recently as L&C’s advice director.
In his new role Harrington will oversee the advice and operations teams at L&C, as well as forming and implementing L&C’s strategy as part of the senior leadership team.
Alan Young, CEO, said: “After a successful year in 2022, during which I’m proud to say that L&C helped more than 70,000 customers apply for over £15 billion of mortgage lending, we’re already very much planning ahead for this year and beyond.
“Mark knows L&C inside out and has proven over the last 20 years what an invaluable asset he is. I know he will play a key part in growing the L&C business and putting in place the exciting plans we have for the future.”
Nicola Wildman joins as chair of risk, to work closely with the compliance and risk teams across the business, and both she and Sue Brown have been named as new non-executive directors on the board.
