Updates enable brokers to access more products, automate processes, and improve application accuracy

To support a wider range of client scenarios and streamline broker workflows, mortgage technology platform Acre has expanded its integration with Nationwide for Intermediaries, introducing system updates.
The upgrade, built around Nationwide’s latest application programming interface (API), enables brokers to better serve clients such as the self-employed, foreign nationals, and those seeking interest-only loans. According to Acre, the enhancements also make it simpler to identify suitable mortgage products from the outset.
As part of the update, Acre users can now reserve products within the platform and automatically save decision in principle (DIP) certificates to case files. The company has also introduced improved pre-submission checks, allowing brokers to confirm that application data is verified and complete before moving forward. Its built-in verification system aims to reduce manual data entry and speed up the mortgage process.
Acre and Nationwide launched the partnership last year, allowing more brokers to use Acre’s platform to easily access mortgages.
“Homebuyers and those wishing to remortgage want a quick mortgage decision,” said Justus Brown founder and chief executive of Acre. “We are constantly evolving our platform to find new ways to reduce any friction in the mortgage journey.
“Our partnership with Nationwide is rooted in a belief that technology makes the task of securing the best-fit mortgage simpler and faster. Today’s development is indicative of our shared mission as well as a relationship that continues to go from strength to strength.”
“It is crucial that we make it easier for brokers to do business with us and, through our partnership with Acre, we are improving the digital broker journey,” added Andy Tilsley, head of intermediary digital at Nationwide Building Society. “Today’s announcement marks steps in enhancing the day-to-day experience with us and signifies our long-term collaboration with Acre.”
