The facility will allow customers to obtain a DIP in 10 minutes
Gatehouse Bank has launched an online decision in principle (DIP) facility, developed to improve and streamline the customer journey.
The facility, which is open to UK residents, will enable home purchase plan and buy-to-let customers to independently gain a DIP any time that is convenient to them.
The challenger bank said the online DIP facility will allow qualifying customers to obtain a DIP in around 10 minutes, with the customers required to upload all supporting documentation through a secure platform. They will also receive immediate access to documents that can be provided to estate agents when viewing and offering on properties.
We have launched an online tool which allows you to gain a Decision in Principle at a time convenient to you.

“We pride ourselves on our customer-first approach and have designed our online Decision in Principle facility with the customer journey at the front of our minds,” Gemma Donnelly (pictured), head of direct home finance at Gatehouse Bank, said in a post announcing the launch.
“Initially piloted in December, we have been delighted by the positive feedback our virtual DIP tool has received so far and look forward to continue providing our customers with the most efficient and accessible support to help them purchase a property.”
