Platform offers live discussions, in-person events, and digital tools to support brokers
Digital lender MPowered Mortgages has launched an online community platform dedicated to mortgage brokers, providing a digital space for industry professionals to connect, discuss market trends, and share insights.
The platform, accessible at community.mpowered.co.uk, offers brokers a forum to exchange views on mortgage rates, lending criteria, service levels, and other industry-related topics.
In addition to online discussions, MPowered Mortgages plans to host regional in-person events for brokers through the platform. These events will cover key topics affecting brokers’ businesses, including the impact of interest rate changes and the evolving landscape of mortgage advice. The events also aim to facilitate personal connections between brokers and MPowered’s business development managers (BDMs), particularly for those brokers using MPowered’s digital “one-day mortgage” service.
MPowered Mortgages, which focuses on digital innovation to support brokers, has introduced several tech-driven tools over the past year. Among them is CriteriaGPT, a chatbot powered by ChatGPT technology, designed to handle complex questions about MPowered’s lending criteria. The lender also offers a WhatsApp channel for direct access to BDMs and “Marketing Genius,” a free tool that helps brokers create client engagement content.
“We are delighted to be the first lender to launch a broker community of this kind that will allow for free-flowing information exchange between brokers,” said Stuart Cheetham (pictured), chief executive of MPowered Mortgages. “As a broker-only lender, we are focused on using the cutting edge of AI and technology to find ways of supporting brokers and addressing the challenges that brokers in our industry face today.
“We believe this new tool will go some way to help brokers get answers quickly through knowledge sharing and staying on top of the latest developments in the industry.”
Liyyanah El-aidouni, transformation lead at MPowered Mortgages, added that the platform was inspired by community forums like Reddit but tailored specifically for brokers.
“It is a way for brokers to share their views and a place for mortgage brokers to learn and share through browsing discussions,” El-aidouni explained. “You can even use icons to like or love comments which makes it even more engaging for users.”
