Integration of LendingMetrics' Auto Decision Platform streamlines decisions for brokers
Nottingham Building Society has implemented auto-assisted underwriting technology to streamline decision-making and improve customer service.
The mutual has integrated LendingMetrics’ Auto Decision Platform (ADP), a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution that automates credit reference checks, anti-money laundering (AML) procedures, and affordability assessments in real time.
The move enables the building society to provide instant decisions to mortgage introducers, allowing its underwriting team to focus on more complex cases. The system is also expected to support the development of new lending propositions, including options for borrowers who may not meet standard criteria.
Despite adopting the automated platform, The Nottingham said it would retain full control over its credit policies and operational adjustments through the ADP Editor interface. The decision to partner with LendingMetrics followed an in-depth tendering process that included several workshops.
“We are delighted to have been chosen by Nottingham Building Society, which, after undertaking in-depth research into all the available auto underwriting platforms, decided that ADP offered the optimal solution,” said David Wylie (pictured left), commercial director at LendingMetrics. “The society has been a pleasure to work with, and we now look forward to helping with plans to further optimise decisioning.”
Simon Baum (pictured right), chief risk officer at Nottingham Building Society, called the partnership a “transformative step” for the organisation.
“With the ADP platform, we are enhancing our service to brokers, providing instant responses that help them support clients more effectively,” Baum said. “For our customers, this means a smoother, more inclusive experience – especially for those with unique financial situations. We are excited to bring this innovation to the market, advancing our commitment to accessible homeownership.”
