She has more than three decades of experience in financial services
Specialist lender Alternative Bridging Corporation has appointed Claire O’Brien (pictured) as its head of underwriting.
O’Brien, who has more than 30 years of experience in specialist, retail, and business banking, joins Alternative Bridging from United Trust Bank, where she held the role of bridging finance manager. She was previously a senior relationship manager at Allied Irish Bank and business banking relationship manager at NatWest.
In her new role at Alternative Bridging, she will lead the underwriting team, helping to build on the lender’s strong reputation of structuring solutions for complex cases.
“Alternative Bridging stands out from the crowd in a competitive bridging market because of its reputation to make even complex cases straightforward, its depth of property expertise, and its innovative products,” stated O’Brien, commenting on her appointment. “I’m looking to help build on this and make a difference for even more brokers and their clients.”
Stephen Meller, director at Alternative Bridging Corporation, welcomed O’Brien to the team.
“She has exceptional banking experience and a long track record in building relationships both internally and externally,” Meller said. “She will be an asset to our growing team and play an important role in helping us to further enhance our reputation for great service.”
