David Penny, managing director of the South Coast based bridging specialist, said it “makes sense” to offer a service to their brokers to help them find the right product.
He said: “The short-term lending market has mushroomed in terms of the number of lenders involved and it has been clear for some time that intermediaries have a bewildering choice of competing products from which to choose.
“We believe that the best interests of our introducers are served by applying the Financial Service Authority’s principles of business, particularly in terms of integrity, standards of conduct, communications transparency and product suitability.”
Penny said he believed the bridging sector would become fully regulated in the future.
He added: “Being FSA authorised already, we are used to working in a regulated environment and therefore Bridging Solutions will help future proof intermediaries from the kind of retrospective regulatory scrutiny we have seen so often in the past years.”
