Based in Aldermore’s Manchester office, Catton was previously responsible for the North West sales operation at Aldermore Invoice Finance. She now becomes head of direct Sales, reporting to commercial director, Ross McFarlane.
Prior to joining Aldermore, Catton was regional sales director for Cattles Invoice Finance. She has more than twenty years experience gained in the business banking market, having also worked for an independent factor and as a corporate manager with Barclays Bank.
Catton said: “Although the majority of Aldermore’s invoice finance business is currently introduced via professional advisers we also receive enquiries direct from business owners.
“Our objective is to give owners of small and medium sized businesses a wider choice of how they can access our services; they can either use the services of an adviser or deal direct if they prefer.
“Over the course of the coming months I will be looking at all potential business channels, including the internet. This is an exciting opportunity and one which compliments and enhances Aldermore’s existing new business strategy.”
Ross McFarlane added: “Martine has an extensive knowledge both of the invoice finance market and of Aldermore’s operations and capability. She’s the perfect candidate for this new role and I would like to wish her every success for the future.”
