Peer-to-peer secured property platform Lendy has appointed Terry Pritchard as head of origination.
Pritchard has over 30 years of experience in senior origination roles in the commercial mortgage sector, at firms including Edeus, Providence Financial, Chase, Charter House Corporate Partners and Grays Inn Capital. Pritchard joins Lendy from Channel Equity Finance, where he was managing director and Charter House Corporate Partners where he was director.
Liam Brooke, chief executive of Lendy, said: “We are delighted to welcome Terry to Lendy at a crucial stage of the company’s expansion.
“Terry’s move to the P2P sector is even more significant given his track record at high profile institutions.
“His move highlights how important the P2P sector is in property funding, and how much it has matured and established itself.”
Pritchard will be responsible for building Lendy’s key relationships with brokers and developers across the property lending sector. His experience of working with senior stakeholders will help continue to grow the platform’s origination.
Pritchard said: “The P2P sector is now playing a significant role in getting finance to developers – it’s now the place to be to get deals done.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to deliver lending that gets spades in the grounds, and delivers returns to Lendy’s investors.”
Lendy has provided £408m in lending to the UK property sector since 2012, with £100m last year. It recently secured full FCA authorisation.
Tom Pritchard is continuing to run Charter House Corporate Partners who have had a record year and who specialise in large corporate finance and specialist bridging with a team of 12 in London.
