Former Masthaven chief commercial officer and deputy CEO Jon Hall (pictured) is set to join OSB as its new managing director of mortgages replacing Alan Cleary who is set to retire.
Hall, who left Masthaven in March of this year, will take up his new role at the end of November with Cleary set to depart on December 10.
Hall was with Masthaven Bank from 2014 to 2021 taking the business from idea creation to Bank of England authorisation and launch.
Prior to Masthaven he spent over a decade at Saffron Building Society, the final three of which were as CEO, before departing in 2014.
Most recently he has been chief commercial officer of Aspinall Financial Services.
Andy Golding, CEO, OSB Group, said: “I’m pleased to confirm that Jon Hall will be joining OSB Group as our new group managing director, mortgages at the end of November subject to the conclusion of screening processes and FCA approval.
"Jon has significant experience and joins us from Aspinall Financial Services, having previously steered Masthaven through the process of obtaining their banking licence as their chief commercial officer and deputy CEO.
"He will be replacing Alan Cleary who will be leaving us on 10 December in order to start his well-deserved retirement. We thank Alan for all that he has accomplished during the 16 years that he’s been a key part of our business.”
Cleary is set to retire after 30 years in the mortgage market. He was a co-founder of Charter Court Financial Services, which combined with OSB in 2019.
Following the merger Cleary became the leader of the group's mortgage brands covering Precise Mortgages, Kent Reliance for Intermediaries and InterBay Commercial.
The majority of Cleary's time in the market has been focused on the intermediary space where he is arguably one of the most recognised faces in the sector.
