Chief executive of the NACFB, Adam Tyler, said: "We have been working for the last twelve months to get access to ancillary products and services for NACFB brokers to add extra income streams during these tough times. We are delighted that in these first stages we have been able to work with such big names as Legal & General and Towergate Risk Services.
“Very soon members will be able to put introductions to these firms using the NACFB's own back office software system, CommercialKeeper (CK). A 'short' version of the CommercialKeeper software called the CommercialKeeper Referral System, has also been devised which will be sent to all members and will allow them initially to introduce business to Towergate and Croner.
"In addition, in the next few weeks we will be rolling out a training programme to all members to make sure they understand the products they are introducing and can spot opportunities. This is offers a huge potential benefit to members and hopefully in time we will be able to add other providers on to our panel."
Clare Harrop, head of specialist protection at Legal & General, commented: "I am extremely pleased that the NACFB have chosen us as their protection provider. At Legal & General we pride ourselves on offering great service and advice for life assurance. This deal opens up new opportunities for introducers to see a significant increase in earnings. I would encourage NACFB members to attend the training days to fully understand the full potential."
