Skipton Building Society won the first ever Financial Services Cup on Wednesday – beating The Buy to Let Business 3-0 in the final.
The six-a-side football event was held by Front Events, the events company responsible for the Financial Services Expo, and raised thousands of pounds for WellChild, a national charity for sick children.
James Prosser, director of Front Events, said: “The Financial Services Cup was an absolutely fantastic day and a huge success with lots of laughs and a healthy dose of competition which has helped raised a staggering amount of money for WellChild.
“The financial services community is known for its generosity and it was great to see so many companies represented in the tournament, for a fantastic cause - and a great day to bring the industry closer together.
“I’d like to thank our sponsors Precise Mortgages and Positive Lending, and congratulate the worthy winners of the FS Cup, Skipton Building Society.”
The event was held at the Goals football centre in Perry Barr, Birmingham, and saw dozens of teams including Mortgage Introducer compete.
