He will manage intermediary relationships, mostly in the South West region
Specialist lender Spring Finance has appointed Owen Bentley (pictured) as head of sales in its bridging division.
Bentley joins the lender from United Trust Bank, where he held the same role. At Spring, he is expected to play a key role in driving the growth of its bridging division, as well as managing intermediary relationships, predominantly in the South West region. He will report to bridging sales director Jim Baker.
“Owen is one of the most highly regarded sales leaders in our market,” Baker remarked. “It is an exciting time for Spring as we continue to build our specialist bridging proposition, and it is a clear demonstration of our ambitions and achievements to date to be able to secure someone of Owen’s talent. I am very pleased that he has joined our sales team and look forward to working closely with him to grow the business.”
Commenting on his appointment, Bentley said he was tremendously excited to be joining Spring to help build on “what has already been an incredibly successful launch into the bridging market.”
“What has been clear from my conversations to date is that strong funding lines, clear appetite to lend, and an ability to provide creative solutions for clients with all types of funding requirements puts Spring in an incredibly strong position to continue to grow and succeed further,” he stated.
“I look forward to using my experience to contribute across all aspects of our bridging offering, as well as getting back to what we all love doing the most, which is helping our broker partners to help more clients and complete more business.”
Gavin Diamond, chief executive at Spring Finance, said he was delighted to welcome Bentley to the company and had no doubt he would make a significant contribution.
“Owen is a well-known personality in the bridging space,” Diamond added. “He is vastly experienced with an excellent reputation for delivery across all areas of sales and business development.”
