The latest appointments, one year on from its launch, mean the number of the brokers on its panel now stands at 32.
Karen Bennett, sales and marketing director of commercial mortgages at Shawbrook, said: “We are really proud to see that our strategic partner programme has gone from strength to strength since its launch a year ago.
“The programme is an increasingly valuable part of our model at Shawbrook. Because we only lend through intermediaries the channel is right at the centre of everything we do.”
Shawbrook’s commercial mortgages business launched the programme in September 2012 with 18 commercial mortgage brokers.
Brokers are awarded the status in recognition of the high quality of business they deliver and members of the panel receive exclusive process and marketing benefits as well as their own commission structure.
The programme has a clear set of criteria against which partners are measured including the level of conversion rates achieved on initial submissions and ultimate conversion to successful loan completion.
Bennett added: “Clearly the model is working. In our second year results we grew our commercial mortgages division by 437% which would simply not have been possible without the close working relationships we have developed with our network of brokers.”
Ying Tan at The Buy to Let Business said: “We think Shawbrook’s strategic partner programme is a fantastic initiative so we’re thrilled to now be a part of it.
“The most exciting banks at this time are working more and more closely with intermediaries and developing these relationships, we think, is key to the continued growth of the market.”
