Director expresses confidence in the restructuring
United Trust Bank (UTB) has announced significant changes within its bridging sales team as part of its strategic move to drive growth and enhance broker support leading into 2025 and beyond.
The bank has appointed Paula Purdy (pictured left) as sales director – bridging. Purdy will collaborate closely with Sundeep Patel (pictured second from left), the director of bridging, and is expected to play a pivotal role in driving new business growth and overseeing various projects within the division.
Additionally, Paul Delmonte (pictured second from right) has been promoted to head of national accounts – bridging. In his new role, Delmonte is expected to leverage his previous success as a key account manager by strengthening relationships with networks and clubs while managing key distribution channels.
Gary Lomax (pictured right) will continue his trajectory within the organisation as key account manager – North. Lomax has been described to have a proven track record of supporting brokers in the North of England and Scotland. He will focus on further enhancing UTB’s operations in these regions.
Furthermore, the bank’s internal sales team has been rebranded as internal relationship managers, noted the news release. This change aims to reflect the strong connections many team members have established with brokers nationwide. The revamped team will maintain close collaboration with the field sales team to enhance broker relations and activities.
Sundeep Patel expressed optimism regarding the restructuring, stating, “UTB Bridging has enjoyed a strong year to date, and our restructuring of the division’s sales function by merging the internal and field sales teams to provide further dedicated support has gone down very well with brokers.
“These latest changes to the sales team are key to the successful delivery of our growth plans next year and signal even greater levels of broker support across all regions. I’m delighted Paula, Paul, and Gary have taken on their new roles and I’m excited about the bank’s plans for 2025 and beyond in making UTB the home of bridging.”
