First Mortgage NE, a broker headquartered in Gateshead, has hired seven for its workforce across the North East.

The company experienced its busiest month of business ever this January.
Phil McGuire, new build director at First Mortgage NE, said: “There’s been some real highs over the last 12 months having opened four new office locations, expanding our Gateshead HQ and rounding off our most successful year to date.
“As a result, we’ve been able to create new job opportunities growing our team which is fantastic.
“The team will continue to grow this year as we drive forward our expansion plans. We have made a further five job offers this month alone and additional vacancies are currently available across our branches. We’d love to hear from anyone who would be interested in joining us.”
Jennifer Pattison is joining the Gateshead headquarters as branch manager, while joining her are mortgage and protection advisers Denise Morton and Rachael Leonard.
Philip Jobson has taken the newly created role of insurance manager, responsible for all clients with insurance policies. Meanwhile Rachael Kelly has taken the role of new build manager, supporting one of the company's main targets for growth this year.
After qualifying as a mortgage adviser in 2002, Debbie Redpath has made the shift to compliance, moving into the Sunderland branch as a compliance officer. In her new role, she will support the compliance manager to ensure the team is kept up to date with the latest industry guidelines.
Having worked in the financial sector for 18 years, Lorraine Robinson has started as a case manager based at the company’s Chester-le-Street branch, where she will assist clients through to completion of their mortgage offer.
First Mortgage NE is currently recruiting for three positions, a business protection specialist, new build mortgage adviser and a trainee adviser.
