Mortgage and protection network, JLM Mortgage Services has hired Daniel Leach as its new chief operating officer, driving growth in the business including recruitment.
He will also be focusedon delivering in key technology-based areas building on the launch of Virtual Adviser – JLM’s robo mortgage advice proposition. He will also help to build a digital service, plus provide strategic oversight and ensuring excellence in customer servicing.
He joins with immediate effect and will be reporting to JLM’s directors, Rory Joseph and Seb Murphy.
JLM believe technology will play a key role in the delivery of mortgage advice in the future and Leach will help implement and extend the network’s virtual advice offering.

JLM recently became the first network to launch a robo mortgage advice proposition, Virtual Adviser. It has been designed to provide JLM advisers and firms with a unique tool to allow them to engage with customers.
He added: “Given the launch of Virtual Adviser we want to build on this proposition by enhancing our digital offering, whilst at the same time ensuring a high-quality advice service to all our clients.
“Daniel will also play a central role in recruiting advisers and espousing the many benefits we can offer brokers and AR firms.

Leach joins from Distinct Logic, where he was director of consultancy, providing strategy, compliance, operations and client engagement support to businesses from start-ups to FTSE 100 companies.
He has also worked at Knight Frank Finance, Enness Group – where he was also COO, a board member and compliance director – and octopus investments.
