The event will feature regulatory and communications updates from the FCA after lunch.
The Society of Mortgage Professionals is hosting five roadshows in October, starting at Haydock Racecourse in Merseyside on Tuesday 4 October.
The events will cover a wide spectrum of mortgage topics, beginning with a market overview by Legal & General Mortgage Club director Jeremy Duncombe and an examination of the importance of new build. The event will also focus on the value of protection and feature regulatory and communications updates from the FCA after lunch.
Other highlights include level 4 technical mortgage case studies and a specialist buy-to-let session delivered by Liz Syms, managing director Connect for Intermediaries.
Other roadshows will be held in the East Midlands on 5 October at Hilton, East Midlands Airport, Southampton on 6 October at Hilton, Ageas Bowl, London on 10 October at CII, Aldermanbury, and Belfast on 11 October at Hilton Templepatrick.
Lee Travis (pictured), head of professional development at the Society of Mortgage Professionals, said: “Our latest series of events offers advisers an invaluable insight into the latest developments across the whole of the mortgage and protection sector.
“The agenda has been carefully designed to reflect the current state of the market. For instance, we recognise that buy-to-let is an area of particular interest for many advisers at this time due to the recent tax changes.
“We look forward to delivering business-relevant CPD to delegates at a time of record low interest rates in a sector that, as ever, is re-energising on so many levels.”
“There will be opportunities for delegates to engage in Q&A sessions throughout each day and each also offers four-and-a-half hours’ worth of important CII and SMP-accredited CPD.”
The events are open to both SMP members and non-members.
