Peter Beaumont, deputy chief executive of The Mortgage Lender, said: “With a relaunched residential range that includes exclusive deals only available through selected partners, and buy-to-let products, putting an experienced underwriter onsite who can discuss and make a decision on a case is the logical next step.

Pugh has joined from M&S Bank, while other previous roles include senior underwriter at Mortgages PLC. She approached The Mortgage Lender about the role.
Pugh said: “I wanted to get back into packagers. This role empowers me to help brokers and their customers by being onsite and able to make decisions about cases there and then.
