The podcast is designed to provide mortgage advisers with the latest market insights and strategies
Later life services platform Air Group has launched a new podcast called “Master Later Life Lending” – a series that aims to equip mortgage advisers with insights and strategies to navigate the growing later life lending market.
The podcast is tailored for both specialists in later life lending and mainstream mortgage advisers. It covers industry trends, compliance issues, digital transformation, and best practices for serving both older and younger clients.
“Our podcast is an extension of our commitment to fostering comprehensive conversations in the mortgage industry,” said Paul Glynn (pictured), chief executive of Air Group and host of the podcast. “We serve two key customer groups: the traditional equity release demographic and the emerging over-50s still managing mortgage repayments into retirement.
“We’re excited to provide a platform where advisers can gain knowledge, future-proof their businesses, and engage with younger customers on later-life lending at an early stage.”
The podcast will feature interviews with industry leaders and experts, offering up-to-date information and practical tips on discussing later-life lending with clients. It will also include segments aimed at dispelling common consumer misconceptions.
New episodes will be released weekly and will be available on all major podcast platforms. Each episode will explore topics that impact mortgage advisers’ operations and long-term success, from digital technology’s role to understanding the financial profiles of equity release customers.
“In a constantly evolving industry, staying informed is crucial,” Glynn said. “At Air Group, we believe every later life lending customer deserves a strong outcome, regardless of when they enter the advice process. Our podcast provides advisers with a convenient way to stay updated on industry developments and enhance their professional skills.”
Listeners can expect actionable insights to grow their businesses in line with new Consumer Duty regulations, a deeper understanding of the current market’s later-life lending products and services, strategies to better serve a diverse client base, and access to a community of like-minded professionals.
The podcast, which launched today (August 29), features Colin Bell, chief operating officer at Perenna, and Emma Graham, business development director at Hodge, as they discuss the Comprehensive Conversations movement and the importance of addressing the changing needs of borrowers over 50.
