Bower has launched a training academy for advisors specialising in equity release.
Bower Retirement is offering new advisors training support for equity release.
The retirement lending specialist has developed a three-day course at the company’s head office covering key knowledge areas including compliance, finance and customer service.
Bower has designed an exam and assessment process focusing on compliance, mortgage and protection as well as specialist equity release tests based on Chartered Insurance Institute questions.
The three-day course is followed by an induction process designed to ensure candidates achieve Competent Adviser Status.
Andrea Rozario, chief corporate officer at Bower Retirement, said: “The equity release market is evolving rapidly with a wide range of new solutions for customers looking to transform their lives in retirement.”
“The growth of the market is attracting advisers looking for a rewarding career but they need support in building and expanding their own businesses which is why we have launched the Training Academy.
“Advisers can only reach their maximum potential if they receive the necessary specialist training and one-to-one support which we are aiming to provide through the Academy and induction training.”
The company, founded by chief executive Geoff Charles, has more than 80 people including a network of advisers operating franchises across the UK.
