Roundtable sessions are aimed at helping advisers understand more about the equity release sector, allowing them to question a number of industry experts and their peers on a variety of topics.
There will be a specific focus on the legal implications of releasing equity and how they could be used to fund long-term care.
Chris Prior, manager, sales and distribution at Bridgewater Equity Release, who will be chairing the workshops, said: “Having previously held three roundtable workshops and received positive feedback on the structure and content of these events, we have decided to hold another before the summer break.
“This time we are heading to Peterborough and hope to welcome advisers from the region to a session, the content of which will be set by everyone round the table.
“We have experts in both the legal and long-term care fields with us and I am sure there will many equity release advisers who have numerous questions on these topics plus we are able to cover a range of related matters.
“Often the most interesting and informative debates are between advisers themselves as this event gives everyone a chance to network and discuss relevant matters with their immediate peer group.”
Also in attendance will be Peter Barton of Ashford’s Solicitors and Jeremy Davies of Symponia to take questions.
This is the fourth roundtable of its kind, with the roundtable starting at 10:30am.
Those who wish to attend should contact Chris Prior.
He added: “Previous workshops have often been eye-openers for many advisers as they gain knowledge on what works, and what doesn’t, in the equity release advice space.
“We are certainly looking forward to hearing the thoughts and questions of all attendees on the 15 July and would urge anyone interested in attending to get in touch quickly as spaces are limited.”
