Royal London rolls out whole-of-market equity release advice service

Mutual insurer Royal London has launched a whole-of-market equity release advice service, available to both consumers and financial advisers looking to refer clients.

The service offers consumers access to specialist equity release advice, helping them achieve their retirement goals and maintain their standard of living. It provides support for later life lending options, including retirement interest-only mortgages.

Royal London said its service stands out by offering a whole-of-market approach, meaning it includes products from all lenders that comply with the Equity Release Council’s standards. Financial advisers can refer clients to the service if they prefer to rely on equity release specialists for this type of advice.

The new service launch follows the company’s recent rebranding of its equity release lending products. Its entry into the later life lending market aligns with its broader strategy to provide a comprehensive range of financial products, including protection, long-term savings, and asset management.

“We’re delighted to offer specialist advice and later-life lending solutions,” said Jo Kite (pictured), chief customer officer at Royal London. “We believe the Royal London brand will bring confidence to those seeking to find the best solution to meet their later life needs, in what continue to be challenging market conditions.”

Royal London, the UK's largest mutual life, pensions, and investment provider, ranks among the top 25 mutuals globally. The company offers a range of protection, long-term savings, and asset management services across the UK and Ireland.
