The new tool enables intermediaries to source and select equity release products using a 'benefits driven' sourcing engine and will be available to the seven out of ten brokers using the TrigoldCrystal system.
Some of the big names in the equity release market are already on the system and Trigold Crystal say that others will be announced over the coming weeks.
Andrea Rozario, director general of SHIP said; "It is pleasing to see TrigoldCrystal have launched an Equity Release sourcing facility that is new in the ER market, allowing intermediaries to source based on the lenders’ product benefits and thereby supporting advisers with the aim of providing quality advice. The system offers an end to end sales process starting with a lifestyle questionnaire to identify the needs of the client and ensure that the products appearing within the sourcing results are based upon the individual requirements of the client and not based upon the overall cost. SHIP welcomes this innovative approach.”
David Aylmer, marketing director at TrigoldCrystal said, "The equity release sector has been gaining momentum over recent years and we've worked closely with both providers and intermediaries to create a system that now supports the sales process. Historically, sourcing systems have found it a challenge to adequately source and select products due to the unique characteristics and complexities of the products on offer. Our new system sources on product benefits which match the individual requirements of the client and the intuitive and easy to use system supports the sale every step of the way. We believe that this is sector destined for sustained growth and we're delighted to be providing the technology to support it."
