Bankhall and PMS Mortgage Club has appointed Campbell Stanners to the newly created role of advisory relationships director.
With over 25 years’ experience, Stanners has worked across the financial services industry in a range of senior strategic and relationship-focused roles. He worked at Standard Life for 10 years, where his former roles include head of strategic platform distribution.
Stanners will report into Ross Liston, managing director, Bankhall and PMS.
Liston said: “Bankhall and PMS together support over 3,500 directly authorised wealth and mortgage firms across the UK, encompassing over 11,000 advisers and financial planners.
“Professional advice has a bright future and we want to help these advisory firms to grow, whilst also helping them to navigate the unprecedented levels of industry change posed by new technology, increasing regulation, greater consumer expectations and pressure on costs.
“In 2019 and 2020 we will be making significant investments in a range of exciting new services, which will enable our directly authorised members and clients to take advantage of new emerging opportunities.
“In addition to new services we are also investing in our people and strengthening our team, so that we have the experience and expertise in place to ensure that advisory firms reap the full benefits of our services and support.
“Campbell has an excellent understanding of the UK advisory market and a proven track record in strategic business planning and customer service.
“He is a great addition to the strong team we already have at Bankhall and PMS, which we are committed to building and investing in further over the coming years.”
Other senior roles Stanners has had include national & networks manager at Ignis Asset Management, where Campbell spent five years. Prior to this he worked for Prudential and Scottish Amicable for over 10 years.
Stanners added: “I’m very pleased to be joining Sesame Bankhall Group at a time when it is investing heavily in the future of professional advice and the extensive proposition services it offers to members and clients.
“In a period of rapid industry change and market opportunity, I’m particularly excited about working with the Bankhall and PMS teams as they actively look to strengthen their directly authorised adviser relationships, and support these firms in achieving their individual business goals and ambitions.”
