Amaira has spent some 45 years in the sector.
Industry stalwart Cammy Amaira (pictured) is set to retire in April after 45 years in the sector.
Amaira joined Bradford & Bingley in 1975 and spent 29 years with the mutal, which went on to become a bank in 2000, before finishing his time as head of sales for its specialist mortgage arm, Mortgage Express.
Following that Amaira joined Intelligent Finance (IF), then a part of HBOS, as director of sales. Most recently he has been working with building societies to help increase their brand presence in the intermediary space.
This has seen him hold both the role of head of intermediary sales at the Family Building Society and his current role of sales and marketing director at the Tipton and Colesley.
Amaira said: "It has been my pleasure to have worked for many years in this great industry. I have been fortunate to meet and work with many people across all parts of the industry, and am pleased to say that I can class a large number of them as friends."
Despite retiring from full-time roles Amaira confirmed that in the future he will consider opportunities within the space on a part-time or consultancy basis.
