Former acting chief executive of the Financial Conduct Authority Tracey McDermott is widely expected to join the board of new trade body UK Finance.
UK Finance opened for business today, swallowing up the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the British Bankers’ Association and four other trade associations in the process.
McDermott is senior executive at Standard Chartered, having left the FCA in July 2016.
UK finance is led by chief executive Stephen Jones and its chairman is Bob Wigley.
