Family Building Society has appointed Nathan Waller as business development manager, covering a stretch of the eastern Home Counties from Essex to Kent.
He joins from Countrywide where he was a mortgage and protection adviser.
Waller said: “Family Building Society presents an exciting challenge for me. For example, I meet brokers who are trying to find a solution for a tricky case that they have never come across before, which can be hard. Being able to find the answer for them from one of Family’s range of products is a great feeling and very rewarding.”
Cammy Amaira, head of intermediary sales at Family, added: “We now have a strong team of six BDMs covering the country and the number of brokers with whom we have productive relationships continues to grow. Enquiries are up and the proportion of these that are converted to application is very encouraging.
“We remain committed to lending to sectors poorly served by the mainstream and high street players, namely those borrowers coming into and in retirement, first-time buyers, Expats and buy-to-let landlords.”
