Former GB athlete Steve Backley will provide a keynote address at Financial Services Expo Manchester on 18 May.
In the javelin event Backley won seven gold medals, three world records, two Olympic silver medals and one bronze before retiring in 2004.
He will be joined by over 60 exhibitors including lenders, distributors, networks, insurance providers and technology companies at The Emirates Old Trafford, which overlooks the pitch at Lancashire County Cricket Club.

FSE Manchester will feature seminar presentations put together by the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and Financial Reporter, while there will be a separate theatre run by Shawbrook.
Nationwide Building Society corporate account manager Simon Cradock will cover ‘Economic essentials – what’s the current state of the UK mortgage market?’
There will be a second charge panel with Roger Morris from Precise Mortgages, Rob Jupp from Brightstar, Adrian Maloney from OneSavings Bank and Gary Bailey from Together.
Mortgages for Business managing director David Whittaker will talk buy-to-let while Jonny Timpson at Scottish Widows and Uinsure director of sales Jason Berry will cover protection.
Key Retirement technical director Dean Mirfin will also present on retirement lending and advice.
