Virgin found that 83% of Brits looking to move said the vote has had no impact on their plans, while 78% didn’t think it would affect the value of their homes.
Most homebuyers aren’t perturbed by the impact of the Brexit vote, a Virgin Money poll has indicated.
Virgin found that 83% of Brits looking to move said the vote has had no impact on their plans, while 78% didn’t think it would affect the value of their homes.
Just 3% of homeowners decided not to move because of Brexit.
Peter Rogerson, Virgin Money’s commercial director for mortgages, said: “Whatever the future holds, this research bears out our own experience that the general mortgage market remains robust.
“This reflects peoples’ attitudes to just get on with their lives and realise their home-ownership ambitions, and it’s great to see first-time buyers continuing to want to own their own home.”
