Kent Reliance has promoted Steve Seal to head of sales.
Seal has more than 20 years’ experience in the mortgage industry, having worked at Chelsea Building Society, Barclays, Halifax and Virgin Money – where he played a key role in launching its intermediary proposition.
He was head of national accounts at OneSavings Bank, Kent Reliance’s parent.
Adrian Moloney, sales director at OneSavings Bank, said: “I’m delighted that Steve has agreed to take on this challenging new role for 2017.
“His experience and expertise provided our specialist mortgage partners with invaluable support last year and his new position will further enhance our future commitment to the intermediary channel to ensure our proposition is seamless across our UK network.”
Seal’s first action in his new role is recruiting Dominic Sheahan to Kent Reliance as senior business development manager for the South West region.
Sheahan brings over 16 years’ experience within the intermediary mortgage market, and has also worked for Bank of Scotland, winning business development manager of the year, and Commercial First.
Seal said: “Kent Reliance has a fantastic track record of building strong relationships with intermediaries and recruiting the right people who buy into our broker centric philosophy.
“Dominic’s appointment is key to our 2017 aspiration of being the UK’s leading specialist lender.”
