Legal & General has hired its chief operating officer Steve Ellis as managing director of its home finance division.
Ellis led L&G’s acquisition of Newlife in 2014 which saw the group enter the lifetime mortgage market.
Before joining L&G in 2007 he ran operation areas in corporate risk and annuities, managed large scale operations for outsourcing organisations and was a management consultant for GE Capital businesses in the UK and US.
