Lord Macpherson of Earl’s Court has joined the UK Finance board to lead on private banking.
He was formerly permanent secretary to the Treasury and is chairman of private bank C Hoare & Co.
His appointment completes the board, which has 19 other senior industry representatives across retail, SME, wholesale and consumer.
Bob Wigley, chairman of UK Finance, said: “Lord Macpherson’s appointment completes the UK finance board and is another significant milestone for our new association, providing representation for our members in the Private Banking space.
“The board’s remit is two-fold; ensuring the interests of all our members are fairly represented and focussing on issues important to them, their customers and broader society.
