Fintech platform Mortgage Engine has confirmed the appointment of Natalie Strong (pictured) as senior relationship manager.
Strong will work with the tech teams of UK distributors to implement Mortgage Engine’s API technology and connect their systems with lenders including Santander and NatWest
Her appointment comes as part of the company's drive to connect mortgage distributors with lenders, enabling an increased number of intermediaries to source decisions in principle (DIPs) from multiple lenders simultaneously.
Mortgage Engine has grown its team to 30 members since it brought the first multi-DIP proposition to the UK market in November 2019.
Strong worked as a financial adviser in Australia for more than five years, specialising in mortgages and wealth management, before moving to London in 2018 to join the implementation team at software provider, Iress.
Cloë Atkinson, managing director at Mortgage Engine, said: “Natalie is a welcome addition to the Mortgage Engine team, bringing wide-ranging experience that will be invaluable in her work helping distributors explore the benefits API technology.
“Mortgage intermediaries have faced unprecedented challenges during the coronavirus crisis.
"Our technology is designed to make their lives easier by reducing admin time spent on applications, allowing them to focus energy on serving their customers and guiding their businesses back to strength.”
Strong added: “I have worked as a broker and understand the frustrations that come with outdated processes and not having the digital tools to improve them.
"I also have experience on the implementation side, working with distributors to adopt new technology and ensure it is helping them achieve what they want it to.
“Mortgage Engine’s platform offers a simple solution to a problem that’s plagued brokers for years.
"For many, API technology could be the first step on the road to digitalisation across their businesses.
"I’ll be working with distributors across the UK to help them achieve that.”
