The changes come into effect on Wednesday 20 November.
Nationwide Building Society is reducing rates on selected 2, 3 and 5-year fixed rate mortgages.
Rates for the 2-year fixed products available up to 60% LTV are being reduced by 0.10% to 1.79% with no fee.
For 3-year products up to 60% LTV, rates are being cut by 0.15% to 1.79% with no fee.
The 5-year fixed rates available up to 60% LTV are reduced by 0.15% to 1.79% with no fee and to 1.59% with a £999 fee.
Nationwide is also reducing rates on several of its 10-year fixed rate products, including up to 60% LTV being cut by 0.35% to 2.44% with no fee.
The rate reductions on the 10-year fixed rate products are also applicable to their switcher range.
Henry Jordan, director of mortgages at Nationwide, said: “Our range of fixed rate mortgages have proved particularly popular as people seek the security of fixing their mortgage payments for the future, and as a result we’re focussed on keeping our rates as competitive as possible.
"These reductions clearly demonstrate our commitment to offering competitive products to both existing members and new customers in a range of LTVs.
"Combine that with our commitment to providing legendary service and we believe we offer the whole package that makes a real difference to homeowners.”
