Craig Parkinson, mortgage and protection consultant/partner at Continuum, wrote on Twitter: “unless you live in a sleepy village - home building usually means that towns are improved/upgraded which is always welcome.”
There were 68 responses to the poll.
Kate Faulkner, property analyst, said: “Those who want more homebuilding are typically younger people who aren’t on the ladder yet or live further South towards London and the South East.
“People in the North are already seeing a lot of building and aren’t seeing double digit house price growth.”
