Seven of the eleven district council areas showed an increase in prices over the quarter.
House prices in Northern Ireland were up 3.5% year-on-year by the end of the second quarter of 2019, the House Price Index from the Northern Ireland Statistics & Research Agency has revealed.
The standardised price for NI as a whole is £136,767 and ranges from £120,226 in Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon to £163,466 in Lisburn and Castlereagh.
There were 5,210 residential properties sold during Q2 2019 with a further 329 still to be added due to late
returns.
The House Price Index is now 23.3% higher than Q1 2015 with seven of the eleven district council areas showed an increase over the quarter.
Thomas Pritchard, director of brokerage Charter HCP, said: "Northern Ireland has seen strong increases compared to some areas of the wider UK.
"Despite ongoing uncertainty in relation to the protracted Brexit process the market is continuing to perform.
"To see a 23% rise on prices since 2015 shows the strength of the market in Northern Ireland and how far it has come over the past few years."
