She added that all the government’s energies should be directed into negotiating a favourable deal for the whole of the United Kingdom, while she said the Scottish people need a fuller picture before making such a decision.
Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon took to Twitter to call blocking another referendum “undemocratic” given a clear mandate to leave and “proof positive that the Tories fear the verdict of the Scottish people”.
And her spokesman went on to call blocking a second referendum a “blunder of epic and historic proportions”, according to the BBC.
