First Complete and Pink claim existing providers should give existing customers the option to sign up to new add-ons which give them an improved protection product.
First Complete and Pink are today calling for protection providers to commit to offering existing customers the same deals as new joiners.
This comes as the number of protection policies sold in the UK is on the rise and most protection providers attract new clients by offering incentives which exclude longstanding customers.
First Complete and Pink claim existing policy holders are being penalised as a result for staying loyal to their current provider.
Toni Smith (pictured), sales operations director at First Complete, said: “Brokers have a duty to find the right deal for their clients and review policies on a regular basis.
“Not only to ensure the policy continues to match their client’s needs, but also to ensure they are receiving true value for money.”
In the first six months of 2016, the number of polices sold by advisers in the UK increased 3.3 percent on the previous year.
