Society of Mortgage Professionals membership has broken the 8,000 barrier.
The society said it will ‘enhance’ its proposition later in the year to continue membership growth.
Lee Travis, the SMP’s head of professional development, said: “It’s an affirmation of the growing desire amongst those who work in the mortgage sector to improve standards and present a more competent, unified and qualified image to consumers.
“Brokers are increasingly aware of the importance of raising standards and the value of being part of an evolving professional body.”
The society will host a series of mortgage and protection roadshows in Q4, beginning in the North West at Haydock Racecourse on 4 October before moving to the East Midlands, Southampton, London and Belfast – venues are yet to be confirmed.
Travis added: “After enthusiastic feedback from members, each will feature seven separate sessions including the FCA returning by popular demand and a special focus on level 4 technical case studies.”
