PR and marketing agency Square 1 Media has appointed Kevin Rose (pictured) as its new senior account director.
Rose will be responsible for managing a range of client accounts, focus on developing ancillary services to Square 1’s existing client roster, and helping bring onboard new clients.
He joins Square 1 with over 23 years’ experience in financial services journalism and publishing. He helped established and develop the BestAdvice news website and has worked in a number of related fields including contract publishing with various financial businesses, plus produced the Sound Advice podcasts.
He has also launched and edited a number of industry titles and has written for other trades and national newspapers.
He will be working closely with the other Square 1 directors – Paul Hunt, Alex Hammond, Scott Philipson and Rob Griffiths – to help grow the agency as it broadens its scope, identifying opportunities for existing and new clients.
Hunt said:“In true PR parlance we are absolutely ‘delighted’ to welcome Kevin to the Square 1 Media team. He brings with him a wealth of experience and contacts across financial services and there will be very few people in this market who aren’t aware of Kevin and the excellent reputation he has for quality work.
"This is a real coup for Square 1 and we’re looking forward to introducing Kevin to existing clients and to helping develop the overall Square 1 proposition to both existing and new clients.”
Rose added:“I’ve known the Square 1 guys for many years and have been impressed by the quality of their proposition and output. So, when an opportunity arose to become part of the team I jumped at it. I’m very much looking forward to helping develop the Square 1 offering and being part of a dynamic and modern agency.”
