The Vernon Building Society’s six branches in Bramhall, Hazel Grove, Marple, Reddish, Poynton and Stockport will be holding a Macmillancoffeemorning during the week starting 24 September to raise funds for people facing cancer.
The funds raised for Macmillan will help to fund the charity’s nurses, provide cancer information, help with financial support, the Macmillansupporttelephoneline and help the charity be there when people need their support most.
Tracey Wright, customer service manager of the Hazel Grove branch, said: "We had a very successful coffee morning with everybody contributing towards homemade goods, which raised very valuable funds for an amazing cause."
Each branch will be putting on coffee, tea and cakes and welcome members of the public to pop in for a quick coffee and a slice of cake whilst making a donation to the cause.
Last year was a great success with the Vernon raising £1,040.
You can visit your local branch to find out when they will be hosting their morning or call the branch directly.
