Bennett worked at the Council of Mortgage Lenders – which merged into UK Finance in July – between 2001 and 2014, while she was head of policy.
Jackie Bennett will take over as UK Finance’s head of mortgages from February next year.
Bennett worked at the Council of Mortgage Lenders – which merged into UK Finance in July – between 2001 and 2014, while she was head of policy.
She is currently deputy head of compliance at The Northview Group, while before that she was compliance conduct manager at GE Money Home Lending.
Bennett said: “I’m delighted to be joining UK Finance.
“Housing rightly remains at the top of everyone’s agenda and I’m really looking forward to helping lenders support this whilst delivering the right results for consumers.”
Earlier in her career Bennett was deputy manager for property and household at Association of British Insurers after previously working as a senior executive officer at the Home Office for 13 years.
UK Finance was formed from a merging of the Asset Based Finance Association (ABFA), British Bankers’ Association (BBA), Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML), Financial Fraud Action UK (FFA UK), Payments UK and the UK Cards Association (UKCA). It is based at Angel Court in the City of London.
