It has made a total of 11 new hires in its mortgage team over the past two months
West One Loans has announced the recruitment of four new team members to support its expansion in the residential mortgage and second charge divisions.
Lesley Terry, with over 20 years of industry experience, has joined as regional account manager for the Midlands. She previously worked at Saffron Building Society as a business development manager (BDM) for the region. Before that, she served as head of specialist lending at New Homes Mortgage Services for more than 17 years.
Helen Linnen, who also brings over 20 years of experience, has been appointed as the new BDM for the South West and Wales. She previously held a similar role at The Mortgage Lender.
Both Terry and Linnen will report to Paul Huxter, head of intermediary sales and distribution. They will focus on developing relationships with directly authorised brokers and appointed representatives of network partnerships across West One's residential mortgage range.
Jo Sharp, with over 25 years in the mortgage market, has joined the specialist distribution team as key account manager, a new position aimed at enhancing the lender’s packager relationships. Sharp comes from Tandem, where she spent the last three years as an underwriter. Her previous roles include positions at Pepper Money and Newcastle Building Society.
Marc Peprah, who has over a decade of industry experience, has been appointed as telephone BDM for the North West. He joins from Elva Finance, where he served as head of mortgages.
With the latest additions, West One Loans has made a total of 11 new hires in its mortgage team over the past two months. This hiring spree follows the lender’s May announcement of significant investments in its residential mortgage team to support its ambitious expansion plans.
“We are thrilled to welcome four exceptional new hires to our team, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our organisation,” said Marie Grundy (pictured), managing director of residential mortgages and second charges at West One Loans. “Their addition marks another milestone in our ambitious journey to become the leading lender in the specialist mortgage market.
“Since we announced our major growth plans for our residential mortgage business a few months ago, we have been scouring the market for the right blend of talent, experience, and expertise to execute our strategy.
“We have that with the addition of Jo, Lesley, and Helen. We plan to make further additions to our team soon, while introducing some exciting product and criteria changes to our range that brokers and their clients will love.”
